The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 today, May 13. Students who appeared for the board examinations can now access their provisional marksheets through the official CBSE result portals and digital platforms.
This year, CBSE recorded an overall pass percentage of 85.20%. More than 18.5 lakh students appeared for the examinations conducted between February 17 and April 10, 2026. According to the board, girls once again outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 88.86%, while boys recorded 82.13%. Meanwhile, transgender candidates achieved a 100% pass rate.
CBSE reported that over 94,000 students scored above 90%, while more than 17,000 students crossed the 95% mark. Trivandrum emerged as the top-performing region with a pass percentage of 95.62%, followed by Chennai and Bengaluru.
Additionally, CBSE introduced the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system this year. Under this process, teachers evaluated scanned answer sheets digitally to improve accuracy and speed up result processing.
Students can check their results on official websites including cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in. To access the marksheet, students need their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth.
Apart from websites, students can also download their digital marksheets through DigiLocker and the UMANG app. CBSE has also provided SMS and IVRS services for students facing website traffic issues.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for verification, photocopies of answer sheets, and re-evaluation through the CBSE portal. Meanwhile, supplementary examinations for compartment candidates are expected in July 2026.
Students should note that the online marksheet is provisional. Schools will distribute original certificates and migration documents later.
