Coal India Limited has announced the Coal India Recruitment 2026 drive for Management Trainee (Mining) posts. The Maharatra PSU will recruit 276 candidates through valid GATE 2025 scores. Interested engineering graduates can apply online through the official website Coal India Official Website.
The online application process will begin on May 8, 2026, and candidates can submit forms until June 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Coal India will shortlist candidates only through GATE 2025 Mining Engineering scores (Paper Code: MN). The company will not accept scores from previous years.
Coal India has opened 276 vacancies for Management Trainee (Mining) positions. Selected candidates will join in the E-1 grade. During the training period, candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹60,000 per month.
The complete pay scale ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000 along with allowances and other government benefits. Because of the attractive salary and PSU job security, the recruitment drive has generated strong interest among engineering aspirants.
Candidates must hold a full-time Mining Engineering degree from a recognized university. General and OBC applicants need at least 60% marks, while SC and ST candidates require 55%.
Additionally, candidates must possess a valid GATE 2025 score. Coal India will prepare the merit list based on GATE performance.
Apart from the Management Trainee vacancies, reports suggest that Coal India may recruit nearly 1,200 candidates across technical and non-technical departments this year. These positions may include Finance, Civil, Legal, Personnel, and Systems roles.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official Coal India portal once the application window opens. Applicants should keep their GATE credentials, educational certificates, and personal documents ready before registration begins.
