The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the RBI Grade B Notification 2026 through a short notice on April 28. This recruitment drive will fill 60 vacancies across the General, DEPR, and DSIM streams. Every year, thousands of aspirants apply for these roles due to the high salary and strong career growth.
According to the official update, the online registration process will begin on April 29, 2026, and candidates can apply until May 20, 2026. Interested applicants should visit the official website rbi.org.in to complete their application. The detailed notification, including exam pattern and syllabus, will also be available along with the application link.
The selection process has three stages. First, candidates must clear the Phase I (Preliminary Exam). Next, they must qualify for the Phase II (Mains Exam). Finally, shortlisted candidates will appear for the Interview round. The Phase I exams are scheduled for June 13 and June 14, 2026. The Phase II exam will take place on July 25–26, 2026.
To be eligible, candidates applying for the General stream must have a graduate degree with at least 60% marks or a postgraduate degree with 55%. Meanwhile, applicants for DEPR and DSIM streams need a master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or related fields. The age limit is 21 to 30 years, with relaxations as per government norms.
With an approximate monthly salary of ₹1.5 lakh, the RBI Grade B exam remains one of the most sought-after government job opportunities in India. Candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully and apply early.
