The Directorate of Government Examinations has officially declared the Tamil Nadu HSE (+2) Result 2026 today, May 8, at 9:30 AM. The School Education Minister announced the results during a press conference. Students can now check their Class 12 scorecards through the official websites TN Results Portal and DGE Tamil Nadu.
This year, Tamil Nadu recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 95.20%, slightly higher than last year’s 95.03%. Girls once again outperformed boys in the board examinations. The pass percentage among girls reached 97%, while boys recorded 93.19%. More than 8 lakh students appeared for the examination this year.
Students can access their provisional marksheets online using their registration number and date of birth. Apart from official websites, results are also available on DigiLocker and through SMS services.
To check the result online, students should visit the official portal and click on the “HSE +2 Result 2026” link. After entering login details, the marksheet will appear on the screen. Students should download and save a copy for future admission purposes.
Students must score at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject to pass. For subjects with practical examinations, candidates must clear both theory and practical sections separately.
The online marksheet is provisional. Students will receive original marksheets from their schools later. Those who are not satisfied with their scores can apply for revaluation or re-totalling once the board releases the schedule.
Students who fail in one or more subjects can appear for supplementary examinations. The board will announce supplementary exam dates soon.
