The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially declared the WB HS Result 2026 today, May 14, 2026. Students who appeared for the Class 12 Higher Secondary examinations can now check their provisional marksheets online through the official result portals.
The board announced the results during a press conference held at 10:30 AM, while the online links became active at 11:00 AM. This year, West Bengal recorded an overall pass percentage of 91.23%, with more than 5.71 lakh students successfully clearing the examination.
Girls once again outperformed boys in the West Bengal Higher Secondary examinations. According to official statistics, girls achieved a pass percentage of 92.47%, while boys recorded 89.71%.
Meanwhile, the Science stream emerged as the top-performing category with an impressive 99.19% pass rate. Adhrito Pal secured Rank 1 with 496 out of 500 marks, achieving 99.2%.
Additionally, Uttar Medinipur became the best-performing district with a pass percentage of 94.14%.
Students can visit the official websites wbchse.wb.gov.in, result.wb.gov.in in to access their results. Candidates need to enter their roll number and registration number to download the provisional marksheet.
Apart from websites, students can also access their marksheets through DigiLocker, the UMANG app, and SMS services. Due to heavy traffic, students may experience temporary delays while opening the websites.
The marksheet includes subject-wise marks, total percentage, qualifying status, and student details. This year, WBCHSE also introduced QR-code-enabled marksheets with student photographs for improved security.
Students must secure at least 30% marks in each subject, including theory and practical components separately, to pass the examination.
Meanwhile, students who failed in one or more subjects can appear for supplementary examinations expected in June 2026.
